Practise the real thing, right here

Reading about Excel formulas only gets you so far. Our practical simulations let you type the formula, format the document and build the slide — then see the result immediately.

  • A simulated Word editor for fonts, paragraphs, tables and page layout
  • A spreadsheet where you enter formulas and watch the totals calculate
  • A slide-building activity with themes, pictures and transitions
  • A file-management simulation with folders to create, rename and organise
  • An email exercise with recipient, subject, message and attachment fields
  • Office administration forms — visitor registers, agendas, petty cash vouchers
Try a Practice Exercise

Simulated exercises are clearly marked and are not a substitute for Microsoft Office. Where full Office functionality is unavailable, download the starter file and complete the task in the real software on your computer.

Learners who finished the course

Our students come from all over — school leavers, job seekers and people already working who needed to upskill.

I had never opened Excel before. The step-by-step activities walked me through formulas one at a time, and by the end I was building our department budget myself. The IF formula lesson finally made it click.

Thandiwe MokoenaAdministrative Assistant, Johannesburg

The practice simulations were the best part. I could format a business letter in the browser, get it wrong, and try again without anyone watching. My lecturer's feedback on my CV submission was detailed and genuinely helpful.

Sipho NdlovuJob seeker, Pretoria

I did the Office Administration course while working full time. Studying at night on my phone, then finishing the practical tasks on the office computer, suited me perfectly. I passed with 88% and received my certificate.
